DREAMCATCHER VOYAGE Journal 1 - San Francisco to San Diego along the California Coast
..........THE VOYAGE OF S/V DREAMCATCHER
Well, as most of you know, Glenys and I have decided to cut ties with the dock and try the cruising life for a while...... we've been working hard on Dreamcatcher, and she's just about ready to go thanks to hardwork and the efforts of many of our friends..... we leave our home dock at Jack London Square on September 5th**, and will "hang out" in San Francisco Bay to test out some routines and new electronic systems. We are then ready to set sail down the coast of California, to Mexico, before starting across the Pacific in March/April next year. We'll take some time off sailing to visit Asia and Perth around Christmas time to get our land legs back.
There's a proposed itinerary attached (subject to change with wind and whim), along with contact details.
We're looking forward to the change of pace, the different lifestyleand the experiences along the way..... no doubt there'll be times when both of us wished we'd never left the corporate cubicle, but.......
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails.Explore. Dream. Discover. "......Mark Twain
love, Henry & Glenys
